For some reason I could not go to sleep last night.  We always turn the TV on when we go to bed and I rarely see more than half of the Andy Griffith Show before I fall asleep.  It went off and I still laid there wide awake.  It might have been the dogs barking outside as I do find any loud sounds annoying when I'm trying to sleep.  I went ahead and put my ear plugs in and then went downstairs to read.  About an hour later my I found myself drifting off, so I went back to bed.  I barely remember laying down.  That being said, I still woke up at 4:30 this morning.

I put the load of clothes in the washer that I laid out last night and they were in the dryer by the time Dean got up.  I brought the blog up to date for the past two days, then fixed our morning shakes.  By now it was only an hour until church started so I needed to get in gear so we wouldn't be late.  That meant we walked out of Bentley with things undone - not something I do often because I don't enjoy coming back home to that.

This will be our last Sunday here.  It's hard to believe we have been here nearly two weeks now.  Time just flies by when we are busy, and we have definitely been busy.

After we returned, I made a quick lunch, then I took time to get things straightened up - making the bed, doing the morning and lunch dishes, etc.

As most of you know, our first trip to Mission, we stayed at Val's Kountry Corral.  Our rig was backed up to a chain link fence where our Heartland friends were parked at Cottonwood RV Park (where we are currently staying).  Ron and Kim were parked behind us and we visited with them several times standing at the fence.  Now we are just a few rigs down from them.  Other than talking to them when we first arrived we haven't been over to see them, so we did that this afternoon.  Two hours later we headed back to Bentley.  We had a really nice visit with them.  They are from Neosho, MO and while they do not know my niece and her husband, Ron remembered me mentioning that Tim had owned a pawn shop.  I told him he had since sold the building.  I mentioned he was working for the police department now.  He then asked me if Tim had moved to the High School as their Student Resource Officer.  That told me he must keep up with the local news because that was correct.

We left their rig about 3:30 and returned to Bentley where we enjoyed doing nothing for the next hour and a half.  At 5 we headed over to Lin and Debbie's for our evening get together.  It was too warm for a fire tonight.  As usual the evening was full of travel conversations, upcoming travel plans and laughter.  We are sure going to miss them when we leave.

We are meeting a group from Val's tomorrow at 4:00 to eat dinner together.  We are looking forward to that.  We are going to a BBQ place we heard about last year that we never had the chance to visit.  I believe there will be five couples so it should be fun.

The meatloaf I made yesterday is in the oven and I have broccoli steaming on the stove, so it's almost dinner time and we are both ready.  Dinner was great and there's plenty for another night later this week.

Marc called me this evening.  He is doing pretty good considering the situation.  He goes back to the doctor in the morning so I'll look forward to hearing from him afterwards.

Another beautiful day in South Texas.  It's been pretty windy but the weather has been warm the last few days.  No coats or jackets and most of all - my feet are not cold.  That makes me happy.
