I must be getting used to the time change. I was up at 4:30 this morning. I wrote the blog and posted it this morning. Sometimes I am just too tired to do it in the evening - depending on what I've done that day. Morning makes it much easier for me to concentrate.
We had decided last night that we would go to the Arizona Market after Bill & Patsy, and Ken & Kim told us about it yesterday. As I mentioned one of the bulbs in our globe lighting over the kitchen sink/bar area needs replaced. They told us there were several places there that have RV supplies. Of course, we also wanted to look around. I am still looking for a silicone lid to use on my my smaller pans. When I bought the large lid I wasn't convinced I would like it. What I love is I can use it on all my pans so I do not need to carry heavy lids with us. Sometimes I need a second lid when preparing a meal. This one is really too big for my two sauce pans. Those were the only two things we were searching for.

The Arizona Market was easy to find. As far as products, it is very similar to Don-Wes in Texas, however, these booths were larger, the aisles are quite wide (enough so, there was even merchandise in the middle and still plenty of room to walk either side of it, and it was much cleaner). I should have taken some pictures, but at the time I didn't think about it. As it is, we need to go back and we will probably do that this morning before we meet up with Larry and Sharon. The Market opens at 9, and we do not have to be at their house until 10:30.

After we left the Market, we decided to drive by Larry and Sharon's so we would know where the address is. We found it, but did not drive into the park today. We drove right by their park the first time, so I'm gad we checked it out today, so we know where we are going tomorrow. By now it was close to 11:30. We decided we'd get something to eat at Dairy Queen. We are spoiled. We went to all three Diary Queens in Yuma. None of them had an area to go inside to eat. Not all of them serve food, and the parking lots in all but one of them was so tight Dean didn't even try to park there. It is what it is, but we left without ice cream.
We considered driving to Quartzsite, just to drive through this town we've heard so much about, even if the Big Tent Show is over and most everyone has moved on. I found this picture of it on the Internet. What you do not see in this picture is all of the RV's in the surrounding area that are parked here for a couple of weeks (or more) for all of the activities that take place. Most RVer's boondock during this time.
By now it was about 12:45. After thinking it through, we decided to go back to Bentley so we could go to Happy Hour with our new friends and now fellow bloggers Ken and Kim, and Doug. When we go to Quartzsite, we really would like to eat at Silly Al's, a pizza place I've read about and have heard of so many great reviews for over 6 years now. We were afraid it would cut us too close on time; besides it will still be there next week. We have all of Mon-Wed to see things in the area.
Dean took the scenic route as he called it on the way home - in other words, off the Interstate.

After we returned, we were both hungry. Dean ate the leftover chicken stir-fry from last night's dinner for lunch, and I ate the last two tamales. It sure was cheaper than Dairy Queen. Lol!
After lunch I researched a few places then made phone calls, looking for places to stay for our next three stops. On Thursday we will move from Winterhaven, to Leapin' Lizard RV Ranch near Borrego Springs. We will spend 4 days there. Logan will join us Friday evening, and stay with us until Sunday. There are quite a few things to do in the area. After Dean and I arrive and have set up, we'll drive to Borrego Springs, a few miles away, to gather information. When Logan arrives, we'll be able to discuss options and have a plan for Saturday and Sunday.
Our next stop will be at Casa Grande, at Sundance 1 RV Resort for two nights. While there we hope to meet up with Bill and Jan. We've met them a few times before - several years ago when we were at an Escapee Casual Campout in Grove, and at the Escapees Escapade in Tucson three years ago. Jan is a fellow blogger as well.
From there we will move south of Tucson for three days. I called about a reservation at a park we stayed in prior to moving over to the Escapade three years ago, but they were full, so Sunday I will need to call a few other parks for a reservation. I have several options, so hopefully one will come through for me.
At 3, we walked up to Ken and Kim's RV. Doug and his dog Yuma were already there. We had such a nice visit with the three of them. Doug took a group picture of us all, setting the timer on his camera so he could be in it as well. I didn't realize my phone was almost dead, so I could not take a picture, so Doug I hope you don't mind that I borrowed yours.
