Monday, October 14, 2019 - Most Escapees Arriving Today; Meeting Up With Friends; Dinner at El Charro; Campfire Talk

It was 4:30 when I woke up this morning.  I'm so glad we have the heated mattress pad and extra quilt on the bed.  It was cold again last night.  When I went downstairs the thermometer it showed 63.  At that, I didn't need a throw over me.  Lol!  When Dean got up about an hour or so later and turned the TV on, I noticed the weatherman said it was 44 outside.  Come to find out Dean had not put the thermometer out - it was still in the basement.  Hmmm...after that, it sure seemed cooler in here..  The mind can do funny things, can't it?

I immediately pulled out my Chromebook to get caught up on the blogs and was glad when I posted the one from yesterday first thing this morning.

This morning, we walked twice around the roads in the park.  We walked a little over a mile before heading inside to have our breakfast drink.  About mid-morning we went out to set in our chairs.  Linda and Stan pulled their chairs out and we enjoyed spending the day as we watched each of the other Escapee members pull in and set up.  Dean said watching everyone else pull in and set up is much better than everyone watching him!  Lol!  

As each couple arrived, they eventually moved over between our rigs (Stan/Linda's and ours).  About half way through a couple in a black car pulled up.  It was Raymond and Carolyn.  They stopped by to visit and stayed to go to dinner with us later.  It was good to see them and we are glad they stopped by.  

Mark and Karen, our friends that we met through reading each other's blog, pulled in mid-afternoon.  They are parked across the road from us.  We are so excited they are here.

At 5:00 we caravanned just a short distance away to El Charro Mexican Restaurant.  It was so nice throughout the day, warm temperatures but not hot, but it started to cool as we went to dinner.  

Dean and I are way at the end of the table.  Great food with great folks!

When we returned Stan got out his Flame Genie.  Several set outside around the fire to visit until about 9:00.  It was a beautiful evening.

We sure do enjoy and love each and everyone of our Escapee friends.

Dean and I headed inside after putting away our chairs.  I set down to finish this blog post and promptly fell asleep.  Lol!
