When I woke up a little after 5am, I thought about trying to go back to sleep. Then I remembered even though I put the french toast mixture together last night, I still need to make the topping. While the coffee was perking, I did my exercises. Next was the topping. One of my least favorite things is cutting butter into flour/sugar, etc. I think I need to look for a more ergonomic pastry cutter. I've had mine since back in the 70's. Maybe there is one that is more comfortable to use. The handle is very narrow, so the metal on the side makes it very uncomfortable to use. One of my blades is bent, and I imagine they are somewhat dull by now. Honestly, I've not used it that much over the years, but recently I have used it quite a bit.
Frank's Extravaganza Breakfast is at 9. He cooks all of the meat and the rest of us will bring a breakfast dish of our choice. I'm sure we'll have many choices and hopefully it will fill us up until dinner tonight, or at least just a light snack mid-day rather than having lunch.
We didn't walk yesterday since he left early to play golf, but we walked for 30 minutes this morning and was able to get in almost a mile.

I had to get back to put my french toast bake in the oven. I've never baked a dish in a full sized pan in our convection oven before. I'm hoping it will work out okay. I cooked it 30 minutes, then turned it and cooked it another 30 minutes. The topping on the corners opposite each other was a little burned. I tried to scrape as much of it off as I could. If anyone has any tips on how to prevent that, I'd sure love to know what it is.
Oh, my goodness when we arrived I could not believe all the food. I ate more than I should but I felt like my plate was pretty empty compared to what was available to choose from. All kinds of meats, egg dishes, potatoes, grits, biscuits and gravy, fruit, bubble bread with various toppings, pancakes, etc. It was by far better than any breakfast buffet I've been to! Everything I had was delicious, including the cheesy grits. These were different than any grits I've tasted. The gentleman who made them said the recipe is from Top of the Rock at Branson, MO. I'm not a fan of regular grits, but with the added ingredients they were pretty good.

Afterwards, I stayed for a wine glass painting class. I do not drink, but I can use it for something - maybe a candy dish or something. I'm not crafty, but it turned out to be lots of fun. Of course, you can't be around these ladies without having a good time. I liked it so well, I think it would be a fun thing to do with my sisters or the grandkids someday. There are any number of dishes, bowls, or glassware that you could use.

After we painted them, our host Barbara, put them on a large baking sheet, and baked them for 30 minutes. Once they are done, she will open the door and leave them until they cool.
Dean came back to Bentley to pay our monthly bills. I'm so glad he does that now! After we finished with the glass painting, I came back to clean up my kitchen and pick up. We each had an apple, and Dean added a shake for his lunch. I finished up the blog for yesterday and posted it. It's so much easier to keep it up daily!
At 3:45 we started getting ready for our evening out with this group. We have reservations at KC's Roadhouse at 4:30. Our group will caravan from the RV Park to the restaurant. The traffic was a little crazy on a Friday evening at 4:30, but everyone made it just fine.

| Dinner was wonderful! |
Considering the number of people we had, I thought the waiters did a great job of serving us all and getting our food out to us. Our meal was very good. Dean and I ordered a 12 oz. rib eye that we shared. We each had a salad and we also shared a baked potato. It was very, very good. I gave Dean most of the steak - but I had plenty of food. I've had too many carbs while here, but considering all of the food in front of me so far, I've at least tried to minimize the portions.

In can you are wondering, I did not win! The top left picture is Flora, the winner! The next picture is her husband Corbin. The others are pictures I took of the group, trying to get everyone in a picture.
It was a fun game, with lots of laughs.
Thanks so much for following along. I appreciate each one of you! I hope your day was wonderful!

It was also very tempting to eat things I shouldn't. I did better on breakfast than the Mexican Food Night we last night.
