Tuesday, March 13, 2018 - Prepping to Move; Lunch with Escapees; Chiropractor Visit; Saying Our Goodbyes;
After getting all of our morning to-do's out of the way, I decided to tackle another item that needs to be done before we move tomorrow. I needed to empty a second shelf in the pantry to provide enough room for Ron Hoover employees to have access to install the washer/dryer combo. I moved the canned goods to a plastic tub. Dean will remove the shelves before we pull out in the morning or once we arrive for the install.
We walked up to the office to return our mailbox key and the remote control to open the entrance gate. We will leave before the office is open in the morning, so we wanted to have that taken care of. On our walk we stopped to visit with Gerry, Bernie & his wife Dorothy, and got hugs all around before we left. I had some mail to drop off in the outgoing mail box when we dropped the other items off. When we reached Bentley, our neighbor Floyd across the street walked over and visited with us for awhile before we had to leave for our lunch today with a bunch of Escapees. What are we escaping to? Well, to spend time with friends and family, enjoying the beautiful scenery across our wonderful nation, and living the RV lifestyle.
We had a great time and a great turnout! Guess who forgot to take a picture?
After lunch we made our last stop at Breadsmith for a loaf of fresh sliced farmer's wheat bread. I may have mentioned this before but we discovered this is a chain so we might be fortunate enough to run across it some of our other travels.
I had my last chiropractor visit at 1:45. I went yesterday and felt great this morning but I wanted to make sure everything was settled into place, since we'll be on the road for the next three weeks. I was happy he was able to move a few more places in my lower neck.
I wanted to visit with a few people in the park that we've met so I made a lap around. Unfortunately none of them were home. However, I did visit with the maintenance man's wife Lyn. We've said hello to each other as we've walked or rode our bikes but it's the first time I've visited with her.
The rest of our evening was pretty quiet, finishing up a few things in preparation of leaving tomorrow morning.
