As much as we love going and seeing new places, having breakfast, lunch or dinner with our friends or by ourselves, we needed this day to wind down and take care of some things. We've been having our mail sent to us here every two weeks. The first batch wasn't too bad, but this one had quite a few things that needed attention and I spent a good part of the day working on it. I managed to get most of it taken care of, however, it appears several doctor's offices must take Friday afternoons off now since I could not reach anyone at a few of them. And we are still dealing with address changes, even some we've already given the address change to. With one in particular, half of the mail is coming to the new address and half of it to the old address. Since it had to do with an automatic payment change I was a little upset to get 6 letters, 3 with the correct address, 3 with the old address - when they have our phone number and email on file. Now why, didn't they contact us directly and it could have been resolved in literally a few minutes - that's how long it took when I called them! What's the deal with not being able to pick up the phone and talking to someone these days? I still need to finish some remaining things up on Monday since I could not reach everyone today.
We are trying to fit in a number of doctor appointments in the months of April and May before we head to New York the first part of June. Dentists, Eye Doctors, Routine Primary Dr. Visits, Specialty Dr. Visits, Routine Tests. It seems one thing leads to another and the days we have open are now very few.

Dealing with the insurance, billings from the doctors, clinics, hospitals, etc. can be daunting. I wonder how people who are facing a serious illness manage to wade through all of the medical forms, billings, appointments, etc. when they do not fill well. I can't imagine being really sick and having to deal with all of this. In the past several months I've had problems getting through to anyone at two doctor's offices because of answering machines. No one ever called me back, and at the hospital they would not even tell me if my test results had been mailed to my doctor yet. I've been able to deal with all of this---although it's very frustrating----but imagine being very ill and getting no where.
I'm making white chicken chili and cornbread for dinner. It sounded good for a chilly day. It rained a little this morning although it didn't last too long. It has just been a dreary day. Tomorrow the temperatures are supposed to be back in the 80's, so it will be a great day to get out and do something. I'm sure we'll ride our bikes at the Park. We need to try out our new seats and make sure they are going to work okay for us. There are still many things to see and do in the area. I'm sure we'll find something to keep us occupied and out of trouble.
Today our friends Corbin and Flora left. They decided to leave a day early and stay somewhere tonight, and travel the rest of the way home tomorrow. We'll miss them, but we will see them again in April at a rally. It was great seeing them again. They texted me last night to let me know they were parked, eating bread pudding (I gave them my recipe) and watching the Olympics! Sending prayers to them for safe travels today.
