Sunday, September 16, 2018 - Catching Up and Enjoying Evening Sunset
 |
We woke up to a heavy fog this morning; fortunately it burned off in an hour or so.

After yesterday's full day, and another planned for tomorrow, we needed a day of rest. We spent most of our time at the campground with a few small trips around town.
I focused on getting caught up on sorting pictures and several blog posts while Dean spent time doing a few chores to Bentley. We have plans for tomorrow so today consisted of some much needed downtime, light work, and a few final stops before we leave Lubec on Tuesday.
I know I'll be glad to have sewer hookups at our next campground as the clothes have piled up over the past 5 days. I still love my combo unit and can't imagine being without it now.
One last stop that had to be made was going to Monica's Chocolates. When we last visited Lubec, 12 years ago, Monica's shop was downtown. I remember it from the stop we made then, so I was happy to see she was still in business. Yes, they were that good. Monica is a wonderful lady. She has added jewelry to her store along with some other items, but chocolate was what we were interested in. We didn't go crazy though - I chose a box of 6 truffles, a chocolate whale, and Dean chose 3 large chocolate cashew clusters, and a cashew bar. As before, they were delicious. I've only ate 3 truffles so far, and shared one with Dean. I'm trying to stretch them to enjoy for awhile. Check out Monica's website.

This was one of our last stops before leaving Lubec - Monica's Chocolates.
We stopped at her shop when it was located downtown, while we were here 12 years ago - and I was excited to go back. She's a wonderful lady. If you ever make it here be sure to stop - she has so many types of chocolates and they are truly DELICIOUS!!!

Let's not even talk about chocolates!! I haven't treated myself to any for so long! Trying to behave more than ever right now.
