It was one of those "on the go" days. After getting yesterday's blog ready to go, (except for adding my pictures....Google was giving me fits yesterday morning), I was on the run. After our quick morning shake, I did the dishes, showered, made the bed, straightened things up and did a little prep work for lunch. At 10:15 we headed across the road to our grocery store's parking lot where the First Christian Church has been holding Drive-In Church for several weeks. Today they are honoring the 2020 Oswego High School graduates. Each student rode in the back of a truck (now you know why Dean was washing our truck yesterday). Our granddaughter Haleigh Kay Bates is a 2020 Oswego HS Graduate. This is not their official graduation, but the church wanted to honor the students. Just this past Saturday, May 9 was to be their official graduation until Covid-19 arrived on the scene. It will certainly be something to remember for each of them. Misti and her brother Logan had been planning a special surprise for her graduation. Logan was going to fly home and surprise her at her graduation, then he was going to stay until the end of the month to celebrate his 21st birthday. None of that happened. Mom, Haleigh and family members were disappointed, but there will be a time they/we can all celebrate together.

| Several of the students work at G & W, including Haleigh. It was really nice they came out to cheer them on as they drove by. |

Dean and I headed back to Bentley. Crystal showed up a short time later. We drove down by the lot and pulled in. I was so glad we did - a blue bunting was in the yard and shortly after that a woodpecker landed just a short distance away. I've only seen a blue bunting one other time at our last house. I sure hope this one stays around. They are such a brilliant blue!

We decided to drive to Parsons and get a drink from Sonic, then we drove to Altamont. I had a Mother's Day card for my daughter-in-law Jennifer, Marc's wife. She was asleep when we arrived so I left it with Marc. They have had an extremely busy month preparing for and then making the move to their new home. I think they really needed this nice restful weekend.
We pulled up to Bentley when we returned to Oswego, but my car was gone. I did not have my keys so I could not get in the RV. I called Dean and he was at the garage, so Crystal was kind enough to take me there. He was putting oil in the car. I have a doctor appointment out of town tomorrow and he was making sure everything was okay for the trip. We piddled around there for a little bit before heading back to the RV. We brought a few things back from the refrigerator/freezer we needed for tomorrow.
It has been a long but wonderful day. I fixed a light dinner and we settled in to watch TV for the evening. It was a wonderful Mother's Day with Dean, Misti and Haleigh, getting a chance to see Marc for a few minutes, then spending the evening with my wonderful husband. I am a very blessed woman.

It looks like a wonderful graduation celebration day for Haleigh. If we are limited, we make things the best we can! :)
