February has been a big birthday month for us since my mom married my stepdad many years ago - and it continues to expand - Larry, his mom, his sister, two of his daughters, my sister Crystal, and my daughter-in-law all had/have birthdays this month. So, a big Happy Birthday today to my stepsister Tammy. I hope your day was wonderful (since I'm posting late).
Dean and I got in our 2 mile walk this morning. I think we both feel a lot better when we walk on a regular basis.
We have several Escapees Ozark Chapter 17 friends, who winter here in the Rio Grande Valley. We are commonly known as "Winter Texans". We met at Mr. Gatti's Pizza. Besides pizza they have a wonderful salad bar, as well as a food bar with meat, pasta and vegetables, and of course you can always find a few sweets to top off the meal. As far as we know everyone of our group here in the valley was present except Cathey, who was attending a first responder event at their park, but her husband Olen attended to represent them.
Here are a couple of pictures I took of our group - we took up two tables.

We stopped at a lighting store just down the road from Mr. Gatti's we thought might have the globes we are looking for. After we had to maneuver all around a gas station parking lot in order to get into the lighting store parking area, Pam and I walked to the door, only to find a sign that said - Closed for lunch from 12:00-1:00. It was about 12:30 when we pulled in, so needless to say we struck out again. Later, we saw another lighting place, but after we pulled in to their parking lot, we could quickly tell it didn't have the kind of lighting I needed - it was much grander than you could even put in an RV! Lol! Another day maybe we'll find the right one.
As we pulled into Val's we saw the vegetable/fruit wagon was here. I bought a pineapple - they have nifty cutters that remove the core and trims the outer part off. They are so sweet. I wish I had bought two now! I also bought some red radishes and a long white radish that resembles a carrot in size. The gentleman told me they were really delicious and he liked to eat them on a peanut butter sandwich. I'm not sure about that, but eating them alone, they were pretty good. I also bought a tomato which wasn't too bad but not quite as good as those we've been given by our brother-in-law's in the past (Lonie, Elmer).
Diane was at the vegetable/fruit wagon. She asked me if I was going to play bingo at the clubhouse tonight. I decided I would go. Dean declined since he needs to get fuel for the truck as we have a trip planned for tomorrow. As usual, with BINGO I had lousy cards. HAHA But it was fun and that's what it's all about....just enjoying time with friends.
Lynette called me while I was at Bingo so I returned her call once I got back and we had a nice visit.
It was another great day!
