Saturday, August 24, 2019 - Laramie KOA, Laramie, WY

It didn't take us long to get things packed up this morning - since we didn't do much but put out the slides last night, sleep, have coffee, breakfast and pack up again.  It was 8:41am when we pulled out of Boulder, WY and headed south on Highway 191.  As we pulled out of the park, I happened to notice this large nest on top this pole at the entrance to the park.

We are not sure what kind of bird this is - do any of you know?
This was our scenery for most of the day so there are not too many pictures.  This appeared to be a drag line of some type as we drove down I-80.

 Here's a better shot.

It's not often you see a helicopter pass you on the Interstate!

We arrived in Laramie, WY at 2:16 p.m.  We were both worn out from our two long days of travel.  Tomorrow will be a short drive, just over two hours and we'll be staying in place for three days.  We are ready for a little off the road time.

There were many statues around Wyoming State College but this is the only one I was able to get a decent picture of.  If we had more time we'd enjoy spending some time here in Laramie.

We had not been to a Walmart in nearly two weeks.  There were a few things I wanted to get there so we found it clear on the far side of town.  On the way back, we found a much quicker route.  I fixed dinner once we returned (frozen Marie Calander pot pies).  Considering I didn't have to make dinner tonight, they were delicious!!

It was an early night for us.

  1. o are making good time now to settle for a few day. That nest is most likely for a western Osprey a very large bird.
