Well, I forgot to include the story about the tires in yesterday's post..... when Dean arrived at the tire shop yesterday afternoon, the tire truck had not yet arrived. Evidently the truck delivering the tires broke down. The tire shop was still expecting it to arrive in time they could put them on, but it ended up that didn't work out.
-----
So, Dean had to be at the tire shop this morning by 8am. The truck should be there around that time and he will be the first one to get tires put on. It was around 9:20 before the truck showed up so we were running a little late leaving our campground this morning. It was just past 10:35 when we pulled out. When Dean texted me he was on his way, all I had to do was pull the slides in. I was waiting outside when he drove up. It took no time to get hooked up and soon we were headed down the road.
I made use of the time while Dean was gone to put our lawn chairs away and move some things around so it would be easier for them to bring the new chairs in once we arrived at Lambright's.

We are headed to Howe, IN where we will spend one night before picking up our new chairs at Lambright Chairs, located just south of Shipshewana. Twin Mills is a Thousand Trails Park and the price was right. We have considered buying into Thousand Trails but feel no big rush to do that. It gives us time to check out some of their campgrounds and visit with others who are already members. We did not get the greatest first impression of this campground.
When we arrived, the folks at the front desk were really nice and friendly - a good start. As we were talking to them a young lady came in and went to the second receptionist on our right. As we finished up I turned towards her - and she said Hello - I could not believe it was Brindle, the lady we met at Cinderella Campground in Grand Island. What are the chances that we would be in the office at the same time she came in to ask some questions? It was great to see her again.
We headed out to our site, and that is where our impression went from good to not so great. They gave us site number 15D. When we arrived we noticed the yellow slanted lines on the road, and posts toward the back of the lot where the utilities were located. It was difficult to tell where we were supposed actually park, especially since the fire rings and picnic tables were in odd places. 14D looked small but the markers had us bewildered. The large pine tree on our site also had branches so low we couldn't get in without them hitting the top of the RV. I called the front desk and they sent the maintenance guy out to assist us. Fortunately he showed up right away. He explained where we needed to be and agreed to cut a few limbs from the tree allowing us better access. He returned promptly and took care of two large limbs and we were soon settled in our site. We appreciate their promptness on sending someone out, and the maintenance man's promptness in arriving and taking care of the limbs. Here is what bothered us - there were empty spots all over this area without the problems that we encountered. Not one other person came in for the night, so we could have parked in any number of other sites. Why don't they have a notation for sites like this marked so the front desk knows not to issue the site unless it is really needed, or fix it so there isn't a problem. The maintenance guy told us this area was an issue, so it wasn't just our visit. This is very similar to the situation we ran into at the park in Donna, Texas when we had our washer/dryer installed. They put us in a site that took 2 guys 20 minutes to direct us into it because of the number of trees and the huge electrical panel we had to jockey around when there were four or five spots next to us as easy as pie to back into - and again, it was for a one night stay - with no one else coming in while we were there. The perils of being a full-time RVer. You just shake your head and go on. On the other hand, it could always be worse!
We didn't bother to hook up anything except electric for tonight. We will use the water in our tank for what we need. I wanted a few things from the grocery store and Dean was looking for some D rings in case we needed to strap the new chairs down. We still have the original straps for the chairs that came with Bentley but we could only find 2 D rings. We stopped at Bontragger Surplus on the way to the grocery store, thinking they would surely have some. With all the stuff they have at this huge RV Surplus store, they did not have one D ring.

That sounds like a frustrating campsite to wiggle into. If we just stop for the night we don't ec=ven bother with a campground , A rest area, Walmart,Homedepot, Lowes, work for us with ni problem. Enjoy your new chairs, looking forward to pictures of them.
