NEW POST - Changes in Blogger
Many of my RV friends know about the change in Blogger and that it is going away. Blogger gave an option to utilize another platform called follow.it, but I've decided at this time not to use it. If you want to continue getting updates for our blog I have two options for you:
If you have a Facebook account, I can add you to our Travels with Bentley Facebook page so you can continue to follow us there. Once you go to the page you will have to ask to be added. If I do not know you personally I may request some basic info about you - are you a family friend, friend of a friend, an RV'er etc. so I know it is a legit request.
If you do not utilize Facebook, then please send me your name, your blog info (if applicable) and your email address and I will forward the blog to you via email. I'd also like to know how you learned about our blog. Not for any reason except to try and eliminate spammers. There are many out there.
I hope these methods work as I have enjoyed blogging, and meeting so many wonderful people over the past several years. Thank you for being a part of our blog and I hope you will continue to do so.
This spring/early summer has been incredibly busy for us with rv rallies, rv trips with friends, sports events, as well as several things we needed to take care of at home, but mostly spending time with our families, celebrating birthdays, graduations, etc.
I miss blogging, and look forward to doing it again soon.

Travels with Bentley
I did a google search and it said blogger is not going away. Maybe the ability to receive the blog by email is going away. Hope you all are having a good summer. We are in Montana and there is a heat wave here, but so far we are good.

Mary, yes it's the blog by email that is going away. I should have worded that better. I hope that everyone will send their email to me that has been following the blog. I'll look into other options, although following the blog on our Facebook page, Travels with Bentley will most likely be the easiest way to keep everyone updated, that is if they have a Facebook page of their own.
DeleteWe've had a super busy summer. We are supposed to head west in a week to spend time with our son and family in Nevada. It's been warm here in Kansas so I hope it won't be any worse on the drive out. Montana is such a beautiful state. I'd like to spend more time there....some day. Thanks for the info on Blogger, and thank you for following our blog.

DeleteMary I will add you. I've decided to try and utilize follow.it and I'm working on that now. We are also leaving on Monday for a 2 month trip and I'm still working on finding a few places to stay. I'm making a list, but don't worry if you do not see anything until after we leave this site until around July 12/13.

DeleteJan - actually I was incorrect Blogger is not going away, it's the follow portion that is. If you have our blog saved on yours you will still get I believe. Either way I am noting everyone who contacts me to be sure you continue to get it. We will be leaving here July 12, so hope to have a post by July 13 as we begin our 2 month of travels.
DeleteI share our blog through MailChimp, have been since 2012. It is free and works well.

ReplyDeleteAt this point no, I am going to try and use follow.it afterall and I'm working with someone today to help me get it set up. It will probably be July 12/13 before I post again as that is when we will head west.

Sue I will do that and thanks so much for following along. I am working with follow.it to switch to them so people can still sign up and they will also transfer all the people who signed up under blogger to their platform. Look for a new post around July 12/13 as we start our travels west.

DeleteThe only way new people will be able to sign up is through feed.it, as Blogger is removing that feature from their platform.
