I must be adjusting to the time change as I managed to sleep until after 4:30 this morning.  I can only lay in bed so long if I don't fall back to sleep soon after waking up.

Once the coffee was started I worked on the blog for awhile.  Around 6:30 Dean asked if I was ready to walk and I was.  It was windier this morning than yesterday and maybe that is why we were moving at a quicker pace today than yesterday.  We walked 2.04 miles with an average time of 16:18 min/per mile.  Almost a minute faster compared to Monday's walk.

After breakfast I headed in the house so I could begin the sorting process.  I went through every container to weed out the things we want to donate, what we will be keeping, and what needs to be thrown away.  I still need to sort what items will go to Bentley and what goes to storage and I will complete that tomorrow.  I need to give serious thought to what I take to Bentley.  As I went through things I was taking pictures and sending to my sisters and daughter - does anyone want this?  Fortunately I was able to get rid of almost everything I mentioned to them so several more things were taken care of.

Shortly before lunch Dean and I went to City Hall to vote for candidates in the local elections.  It didn't take too long and we enjoyed visiting with the election workers.

Yesterday when cleaning out Dean's night stand I realized we had a large amount of coins in some containers, so today I dropped those at the bank to have them counted.  They will deposit them in our account for me.  I also ran across a city key I missed returning when I retired, so I dropped that by city hall.

After lunch Dean helped me load tubs of items that I will take to the church in Chetopa where I donate items.  Cindy rode to Chetopa with me and afterwards we took a drive into Oklahoma and around some of the country roads there.  It has been years since I've been in this area.  We found the old Russell Creek School and Cemetery.  I remember going there with my Nana Blackledge when they held school reunions.  We also found the former home of their friends, The Pattons.  I love those trips down memory lane.  It was a nice hour retreat from all of the downsizing we are doing and helped clear my head of all that seems to be going around in circles right now.

After I returned home I started loading the car again to make deliveries to Jody and Misti, and Dean went with me to help deliver them.  I took a few things Cindy had spoken for to her earlier, before we headed to Chetopa.  When Dean and I returned home from making deliveries, we gathered up the last of the laundry I finished last night but had not yet taken to Bentley.

This afternoon Dean did a couple of projects for me.  He took some leftover laminate from the house remodel and put it on the platform of our bed in Bentley so the mattress is easier to move when making the bed.  I like to scoot the mattress down a bit so it's easier to get the corners of the fitted sheets on.  The mattress lays on top of a board platform and the board snags the bottom of the mattress.  The laminate will make it much easier to make the bed and will protect the mattress as well.

Another project was to adapt a board to fit next to the table in the RV so we have a place to set the copier.  He added a couple of boards underneath it to raise it slightly above the table base so I can pull it out as needed when I need to use it, and now I can easily slide it back in when we are moving to a different site.

Moved to the back of the table to store when we move from site to site.

Pulled forward so I can access the paper tray and allow for copies to be deposited in the tray as they are printed.
In the spring Dean plans to build a desk that will fit in this area and there will be a designated place for the copier to be stored, but this will work nicely for a short term fix.  What a wonderful husband I have!!

We were ready to stop for the night and have some dinner.  I made grilled chicken salads with lots of goodies added in - hard boiled eggs, avocado, sliced almonds, Parmesan cheese, craisains and our salad dressing of choice.  Yummy!  No dessert tonight - there was no time to make anything today.

We are making progress.  12 more days until we are house-less and full-time!
